Chesapeake Bay Aerial Prints for a Client

These were delivered two days ago from the framer. A couple of quick pictures with the iPhone yesterday afternoon.

These images were featured in my Washington Post Magazine piece on the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.

The large print is seventy-five inches on the long side. The other two are half-size to their big brother.

I’m pretty psyched about seeing my aerials this large. My client is a financial firm based in the Mid-Atlantic. The idea was to show the Chesapeake Bay Watershed from an aerial perspective. They are on the top floor of a Virginia Office building and can see river fog rising from the Potomac River on clear mornings.

  1. Cameron,
Yes, seeing images as big prints is one of the great thrills of producing photos. Looks like these are may be printed on canvas, thin wraps? Just wondering, as I am pretty into having my pics printed on canvas these days.

Sam, the images are printed on canvas and then stretched on museum frames with blocks as part of the frame to hold the tension. I’m shooting a with a 39 MP back these days and can’t wait to see some HUGE prints made from these files.
