The Spider Awards just released the list of winners and honorable mentions for the 6th Annual Spider B&W contest.
My aerial of the Milford Wind farm in Utah that was shot for Clipper WindPower was included in this years advertising section.

The wrote a piece about Chris Chrisman’s winning entry in the American Photo contest and about my Iowa farmland aerial.
David Burnett suggested I enter the American Photo Contest. I won first place in Landscapes. Magazine looks fantastic. Cover is by Howard Schatz. Work featured this year seems to be more classic composition and strong vision with less emphasis on manipulation. More content oriented.

The annual arrived today. Several friends are in it – which is always good to see.
Five of my submissions were selected for the annual. One from a stock shoot for in Denmark for Corbis and four from my aerials of the destruction of Port Au Prince Haiti, which were shot for the Community Coalition for Haiti, the NGO that I am a member of their board of directors.
THE book of inspiration has arrived!
The newest edition of 200 BEST AD PHOTOGRAPHERS WORLDWIDE was recently published and delivered to creatives around the world.
Quite a few friends and colleagues are in the book. Several were honored for inclusion for the second or third time. Which is very impressive! The book is full of amazing work.

I am also happy to announce that yours truly was invited to be a part of the 2010 Edition.
Two of my images were selected, both of them are low-level aerials.. One was shot for Vanity Fair and the other was a promotional image I shot in New York City.
I found out today that an aerial I shot for Vanity Fair in New York last year was awarded a Gold Medal by Graphis and will be published in the 2010 edition of Graphis Photo.

An aerial I shot in San Juan, Puerto Rico for Preservation magazine last fall was accepted. This is the first time work has made it to the printed annual.
