Nice to meet you. I started shooting at 14 when I found an old Agfa Isolate camera in the closet in our home. For my first few years in photography, I kept my feet on the ground shooting wildlife, people and landscapes. Until I was commissioned to photograph Great Blue Herons from a blind 60 feet up in an Oak tree overlooking a rookery in southern Maryland. I was fascinated to see the world from their viewpoint. I wanted to tell stories from above to capture the beauty and graphic compositions the world has to offer. From above a heronry, I moved on to airplanes and then found my true love…the rear cabin of turbine helicopters. Today I photograph aerials, architecture, manufactured landscapes and people for a mix of advertising, corporate and editorial clients.
